I have been listening to some speakers on Energy Psychology Cafe; there are many very effective variations in how Energy Psychology is presented. Today it is Gloria Arenson, a therapist and EFT practitioner. She introduces what she calls "Narrative Tapping." This technique helps you explore a range of related issues, and is especially helpful when you're not sure what is at the root of your dissatisfaction, unease, or procrastination.
Basically you use the EFT "basic recipe," (or the WHEE technique I present in a brief video at peacequestenergetics. |

Shortly after I took my Reiki training I offered to practice Reiki without charge, once, on a few of the members of the Baha'i community. A few accepted. One notable one refused - she didn't want to accept anything free and didn't have any money at that time to budget for it. This was a dear friend, however, who had multiple health problems. I didn't want her suffering if there was something I could do about it. Her main problem about which she complained was digestive problems with frequent trips to the bathroom. |

These
methods do not rely on insight and understanding, but on shifting
internal states of bodily experience. [They] can bring about remarkably
rapid changes in the way people feel and move through the world.
— Bessel A. van der Kolk, M.D. Medical Director, the Trauma Center, Boston, MA Professor of Psychiatry, Boston University School of Medicine
I first read of the work of Dr van der Kolk when I did my certification training (in sexual abuse counseling for adults and children) at the Justice Institute of BC in the late 1990's. |

"For
most people, high-carb, low-protein diets are inflammatory. We’ve seen
repeatedly that low-carb diets reduce inflammation for most women. But
you will need to listen to your own body and carefully observe which
foods fuel inflammation for you. (You may also want to consider our tips
for following an anti-inflammatory diet.)
"Refined sugar and other foods with high glycemic values jack up in sulin
levels and put the immune system on high alert. (The glycemic index
measures the immediate impact of a food on blood sugar levels; surges of
blood sugar trigger the release of insulin. |

"Flow
is the mental state of operation in which a person in an activity is
fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and
success in the process of the activity. Proposed by Mihály
Csíkszentmihályi, the positive psychology concept has been widely
referenced across a variety of fields. According to Csíkszentmihályi, flow is completely focused motivation. It is a single-minded immersion and represents perhaps the ultimate in harnessing the
emotions in the service of performing and learning. |

Compassion is more important than intellect in calling forth the love
that the work of peace needs, and intuition can often be a far more
powerful searchlight than cold reason.
Peace, as in World Peace, has been really close to my heart from my childhood. I was raised in a household where the Oneness of Humanity, the Oneness of Religion, and Peace amongst the nations of the Earth were prayed for daily.
Like it is for all children, what was emphasized in my childhood became a core belief |

International Journal of Healing sends me a daily quote, and this one I want to share with you:
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself. -Ralph Waldo Emerson.
This is what I find: that when my work with people takes me into a place of FLOW, that flow heals me as well as the person who has come to me for healing.
Not only this, but the more time I spend in that place of FLOW, the more I become a channel for the healing energy. |

Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.
Tori Amos
I honour the courage of every person who comes to me for healing. I don't ever compare whose pain is more real or more valid, or whose survival is more deserving of healing attention.
"Sometimes if the nervous system is paralyzed through fear, a spiritual remedy is necessary . . . It often happens that sorrow makes one ill, this can be cured by spiritual means." Abdu'l-Baha |

"A lot of people say they want to get out of pain, and
I'm sure that's true, but they aren't willing to make healing a high
priority. They aren't willing to look inside to see the source of their
pain in order to deal with it." Lindsay Wagner
People don`t look inside for the source of their pain for one very good reason. Their experience is that the pain is overwhelming, and that the trauma, losses and disappointments that gave birth to their pain has greater power than they do. |
